Description

This category contains data on relatedness.

Full details of the relatedness estimation and sample selection procedures are described in the accompanying publication: https://www.medrxiv.org/content/10.64898/2026.06.23.26356360v

First-degree family networks

Family networks were generated from pairwise identical-by-descent (IBD) estimates by connecting individuals sharing first-degree relationships. The resulting networks were used to model within-family correlation in genome-wide association analyses performed using SUGEN.

Maximum unrelated (IVS) set

Pairwise genetic relatedness was estimated using shared identical-by-descent (IBD) segments identified with KING v2.2.7. Relationships were inferred up to the third degree, and a maximum set of unrelated individuals was generated using independent vertex set analysis of the resulting relatedness network. This procedure identified 79,612 participants unrelated to the third degree, providing a reference set for analyses requiring unrelated individuals.
