This is the showcase for the National Survey Health of Development (NSHD) 1946 birth cohort study. The aim of this showcase is to display metadata from key variables so that researchers can browse them before deciding on whether to make a formal data request application. The showcase will only function as a search and browse tool. Researchers will need to make a list of the variables they are interested in and use the NSHD metadata and basket building platform, Condor, to make basket(s) of variables to be linked to their data request. A tutorial is available for the users on how the Showcase and Condor platforms can work together.

There is a registration process to gain access to Condor and access is restricted to bona fide researchers. Condor will give you access to the full set of variables available.

We are continuously updating the showcase with additional variables. This is part of the long-term metadata cleaning project. Currently, the following sets of variables have been deposited to the showcase:
