Clinical dataPhysical performance ⏵ Timed get up and go

Description

During the clinic (or home) visit at age 60-64 years study participants were asked by the attending nurse whether they would be willing to be timed getting up from a chair, walking 3m, turning around, walking back 3m and sitting back in the chair at their normal pace (i.e. perform a test known as 'timed get up and go'). If willing and able (reasons for inability included health reasons and equipment or insufficient space) one test of timed get up and go was performed. Unlike in other tests participants were able to use walking aids to complete this test.
